The vineyards of Mocali, found in the south west of Montalcino, were acquired by the Ciacci family in the 1950s. This Tuscan "Eden" is an example of harmony between man and nature where vineyards and olive groves are alternated with pine and oak forests. I can smell the freshness now. Their approach is simple - position the vineyards properly, and prune regularly for longer maturation, and lower yields.
These wines are stunning! They are approachable young, yet it is their structure and ample body that makes them ideal for aging. As is common to this area these Brunellos are shining examples of elegance and minerality. The winery uses the traditional Slavonian and French Barrique to mature the wines for 2 years.
This is truly one to get excited about. Chef Kevin has paired these wines with a menu that will blow you away. AND on top we will be dining with and learning from Alessandra Ciacci. This dinner is certain to sell out so please don't hesitate to pull the trigger...
