“The 2022 Saint-Amour “les Champs-Grillés” from the Chermette family is a simply gorgeous young wine. It is perfectly ripe on both the nose and palate, leading to a vibrant and sappy bouquet of pomegranate, red and black cherries, fresh nutmeg, cumin, zatar, bonfire, gamebird, a beautifully complex base of soil and a topnote of peonies. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very elegant in profile, with great focus and grip, a pristine core of fruit, superb soil signature, fine-grained tannins and a long, complex and seamlessly balanced finish that still closes with a note of youthful stem tones.
