To say that I am ALWAYS looking for a great buy in Zinfandel is not an exaggeration. It is my wife’s favorite grape. So… yeah… I am ALWAYS looking.
And yet, you’ll notice, I don’t offer very many Zinfandels. You see, while it is my wife’s favorite grape, she also has high standards… so it has to truly be special…
Finally! Packed with juicy dark fruit that jumps from the glass, screaming, “DRINK ME!!!” this gem manages to have a balance that truly sets it apart from the pack. The addition of Petite Sirah provides just the right amount of tannic backbone to give it structure, while still preserving its fruit-forward appeal. At 14.5% alcohol, you know you are drinking Zin, but you’ll remember it in the morning! Ribs, burgers, steaks… all naturals, but this has so much balance and depth of flavor, why not get more creative? Copper River Salmon glazed in a teriyaki sauce and planked on the grill? Hmm…
