Henri Goutorbe Description
93 points The Wine Independent
"A pretty, amber gold color with a gentle fine bead, the Cuvée Millesime 2013 is a 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay produced entirely from Aÿ Grand Cru. Reminiscent of baked apple, freshly baked brioche, clover honey and vanilla bean, it has an alluring autolytic character and subtle ripeness to the nose. Light to medium-bodied and filled with exhilarating acid energy, the palate brims with gently ripened red fruit purity that is accented by hints of spice, crushed stone and chalk, and finishes long with refreshing salinity. Bottle tasted was disgorged in December 2022 and finished with an eight gram per liter dosage." - Sara Mayo
Vinous Media: 92 Points
"The 2013 Brut Millésime is a bold, vinous Champagne. Broad and ample, the 2013 offers tons of textural resonance. The contours are perhaps a bit burly, but that won't be an issue at the dinner table, where this will shine brightest. Certainly, readers who enjoy A Pinot Noir will find plenty of character. Kirsch, red plum, mint and spice build into the potent, mineral-drenched finish. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Disgorged: February, 2022."
