100% Gamay from 50+ year-old organically and biodynamically-farmed vines. Hand-harvested, naturally fermented, no chaptalization (addition of sugar to boost alcohol), and unfiltered. Explosive aromas of strawberries, cherries and blackberries mingle with hints of fresh herbs. A juicy mouthful of fruit is balanced by bright acidity and a peppery note that leads into soft tannins on the finish. Think Pinot Noir... but cheaper! If you are looking for an all-around table red that goes down easy, look no further!
James Suckling: 93 Points
Lovely nose of red currants, sour cherries and white pepper with a hint of dark cherry liqueur in the background. It’s medium-bodied with creamy tannins. Round and juicy with so much fruit character. Transparent and fun, with more white pepper lift on the palate and a precise, velvety finish with excellent length. Drink or hold.
